Introducing Olivia Florence

Olivia Florence is a luxury lounge and sleepwear brand born in Melbourne. Our range is small and considered, with each garment made slowly, sustainably and with great love and care. 

We are all about bringing a little bit of glamour into your home. Whether you're enjoying a slow weekend morning, slipping into some luxe sleepwear for bed or you’re getting ready for a special occasion, our garments will make you feel your best. Our gorgeous original prints are designed in Melbourne and capture the beauty and romance of Australian flora, which we don’t think is celebrated enough. Flowers bring so much joy and colour into our lives, so we were inspired to make all our garments a wearable piece of art. 

We are extremely conscious of the huge impact that the fashion industry has on the planet and are proud to be part of the positive movement towards a more sustainable and transparent supply chain. 

Our garments are printed and manufactured in India by a small, female-run company called New Chapterr. Founder Simran Marwah makes conscious and ethical choices throughout the process and is passionate about ensuring each person that contributes to the end product is paid fairly for their work.

Our fabric is sourced through fair trade practices before being screen printed by hand in the traditional, centuries-old method, which uses natural dye and recycled water. Every Olivia Florence garment is then handcut and lovingly crafted by one tailor from start to finish, part of a manufacturing process that has a strong focus on humans, rather than machine, and contributes to the continued employment of many skilled artisans. 

We choose to use modal, which is a plant-based fabric that rivals silk in, look, feel and, most importantly, sustainability. Made from renewable wood sources, modal is the only man-made (in the sense that it's woven by humans) fabric to be 100% biodegradable, while it also requires less water than other fabrics during the dyeing process. It's lightweight and has a soft sateen finish and beautiful drape, along with thermoregulating properties that help to keep you comfortable throughout the changing seasons.
